Strategy #1: Guest post + Affiliate deals

They manually reached out to other blogs to write guest posts for them.

Everyone needs good quality content.

But the trick here?

They offered an affiliate deal on top of it!

Write a good piece of content = helping blogs with new content.

Offer an affiliate deal = helping blogs make more money.

Win-win!

Strategy #2: Write shareable content

Writing sharable content (think of writing extensive research posts, reports, or ebooks) will result in other sites linking to you as the source.

Omnisends did a ton of that:

Strategy #3: BONUS

Now, at Upvoty, we actually uncovered a third strategy I want to add.

1. Go and find blog posts where your former competitors are mentioned (tools that are sunsetted)

2. Reach out and offer a new piece of content to the blow owner (because finding those means the blog owner has a problem; they have a 404 (a broken link) on their blog)

3. Offer them an affiliate deal on top of it

4. Earn a new backlink!

Now, the founder of Omnisend also shared an interesting take on AI.

And this is definitely a good reason to make SEO your #1 priority in 2025.
