Hypefury’s Onboarding “Hack”
When you sign up to Hypefury, you’ll immediately get this pop-up with a message from its co-founder saying:
This is already brilliant.
I mean, how many times were you confronted with a “challenge” when onboarding a new product?
So, it says:
Complete 6 EASY tasks, and you’ll get a special discount for your first 6 months - check your email.
The email:
So, they incentivize you with a challenge.
You can earn a discount.
Task 1: Schedule 5 posts through Hypefury.
This is super smart in 2 ways:
it’s simple; everyone can do it
it’s the core of Hypefury’s product, and thus, they’ll incentivize new users to immediately experience the power of their tool
Now, on day 6, you’ll actually receive an email that says:
Why is this a brilliant strategy?
First, users are guided through the features; this makes them immediately familiar with the product, and they will actually start using it.
Secondly, it incentivizes people to pay for the product through those limited-time discounts.
But most importantly…
Users will actually find their AHA moment early on!
By guiding users through all of the key features and incentivizing people to use them through the challenge, Hyperfury helps users quickly reach the point where they can clearly see the value of the product.
What can we learn from this?
Go and create a challenge and offer a discount like Hypefury and make sure people are experiencing all of your software’s key features so they’ll stick around and upgrade 🙂
